Rocky Point

Summer Fun

I've been negligent in posting for months, so here are some of the highlights of our summer, which, sadly, comes to an end Monday, July 18, as the kids return to school.

Heath Turned 7!
Heath had a fun Art Party with friends. The cake may appear to have fallen apart, but it actually was made that way to look like an artist's palette that was thrown across the room in a fit of creative fury. :)














We went to Mt. Graham, where the boys caught fish with their bare hands!

















Spent most of a week in beautiful Rocky Point. The best part, as usual, was the beach and its creatures.















We enjoyed the hot-air balloons at Provo's Freedom Festival...























...and even met a Storm Trooper!

Screen-free week challenge

Next week, June 19-25, we will be observing our 2nd annual Screen-Free Week! The boys have reluctantly agreed to the challenge, induced by the promise of extra fun no-screen activities (and by the fact that they have no choice in the matter!).

Trip to Southern Arizona

This weekend,mom and dad took us to Tombstone,Bisbee,and Douglas. It was pretty fun,but near the end it got really boring. First we went to Tombstone. We explored town a bit, saw a "Shootout", went to the courthouse, and got ice cream. I got rainbow sherbet, Ian and Heath got cookie dough, and I forgot what Luke got. In Bisbee, we went to a mine tour, and then shopped around a bit in town. In Douglas, we just stayed at the Gadsden Hotel, and had DQ for dinner. The only boring part was driving home from Douglas. Some other things that happened on our trip are....

Two inches of snow! Of course, it had mostly melted by the afternoon, but we all enjoyed it while it lasted!
